In a bid to assist him in actualising his ambition of becoming the Senate President in the 10th National Assembly, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo, Dr Michael Akintomide Ajilo, is calling on relevant stakeholders to support former governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Kalu.
Dr Akintomide, in a statement made available to journalists on Friday, noted that Kalu considering his developmental achievements as governor of Abia State, as Senator and Chief Whip (a principal officer) of the 9th assembly qualify him to occupy the number three position in the country.
He further stated that Kalu’s unprecedented life-changing projects executed as senator representing Abia North Senatorial District are also testament to the fact that Kalu as Senate President will superintend over a Senate that will come up with legislation capable of bringing forth tremendous development to Nigeria.
Ajilo, said the construction of Ndi Inyang Abam road Arochukwu, construction of Umuzomgbo Ihechiowa road, construction of Catholic church road, Arochukwu, provision and installation of 500KVA transformers to selected locations across Bende Local Government Area of Abia North Senatorial District among other numerous projects speak volume of how the welfare of the citizenry is Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s top priority.
The Convener of MADE Foundation, an organisation renowned for rendering help to the needy in Ondo State, also recalled how Kalu as governor of Abia State transformed the fortunes of Enyimba Football Club of Aba, by putting them on the global stage.
He concluded by calling on those concerned in the determination of who becomes the Senate President to please give their full support to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu so that he will emerge as the Senate President of the 10th National Assembly for a much better Nigeria.
