IN Enugu State, some projects embarked upon by the past administrations are yet to be completed.
However, there is hope for the completion of some of the projects as Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has commenced work on them. For instance, a visit to the multi-million naira International Conference Centre, located opposite Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout last Monday by Nigerian Tribune showed that the area had been cleared.
Nigerian Tribune recalled that prior to the emergence of Ugwuanyi in the saddle, private individuals (encroachers ) had been erecting structures near the International Conference Centre which the present administration halted following public outcry.
The International Conference Centre was started by ex-governor Chimaroke Nnamani, but work on it was stopped by Sullivan Chime when he took over the rein of power in the state.
Another structure abandoned in the state is the Diagnostic Centre near Ebenao Tunnel at Abakaliki Road, Enugu.
It will also be recalled that the present administration also promised to commence work on it. Governor Ugwuanyi made the promise when he paid an unscheduled visit to the site recently, frowning at the deplorable condition of the structure.
