Voluminous sleeves are not to be kept at arm’s length anymore—they are the most prominent trend on red carpet events these days. Also known as puffed sleeves, this style has been around since the 70s, but is seriously gathering momentum from fashion influencers and enthusiasts.
Some styles of puffed sleeves billowed most at the upper arm (like the style Temi Otedola is wearing on this page), while others billowed out at the elbow ( like that of South African media personality, Peace Hyde, is wearing here), or even puffed out from the shoulder and tapered all the way to the wrist (like that of Toun AJ and Fisayo Longe).
Most styles of puff sleeves are thought of as stereotypically girly and pretty. Depending on the style of puff, your outfit may look whimsical, feminine, and modern so you must select ones that suit your fashion preferences.
To add some edginess to your too feminine puffed sleeve blouse, pair it with skinny pants, jeans and straight trousers.

Africa Fashion Week London 2017 arrives at Freemasons’ Hall
The annual Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) has announced that the Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden will be the setting for this year’s seventh season of the fashion event which will hold on the 11th and 12th of August 2017.
After three years at London Olympia, Africa Fashion Week London has sought a new backdrop for the show. This prestigious venue has been the home of many fashion shows including the London Fashion Week (LFW), off schedule powerhouse, Fashion Scout but according to the organisers, none will match the vibrancy of the African design aesthetic.
Two days of catwalk shows will be held in the beautiful Grand Temple space, while the exhibition showcases will be held in the elegant Foyer and Vestibules. This year, attendees are advised to look out for another South African contingent of top designers – representing for the first time in London.
