Telecoms service provider, MTN, made good its pre-promo promise as it gave out over N60 million to lucky subscribers in its Mega Hunt Promo Presentation Ceremony, held in Lagos, recently.
While four subscribers, Tunde Onaleke, Usman Abdulaziz, John Gasper and Rosemary Okeke emerged proud winners of N10 million each, 20 other subscribers of the network were rewarded with N1 million each, at a prize presentation event held before a select media, industry regulators and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the ceremony, the company’s Country Manager, Upstream, Riaan Abdoll, explained that the promo was aimed at exciting and rewarding customers for their participation.
According to him, “Products like Mega Hunt gives ordinary people extra-ordinary chance and opportunity to make a difference,” Abdul said.
On his part, Consumer Marketing General Manager, MTN Nigeria, Richard Iweanoge who was represented by the Sponsorship and Events Manager, Okundola Bamgboye described the promo as one of MTN’s ways of appreciating its teeming subscribers, who have stayed with the brand through the years.
“For us, our teeming subscribers are our most valuable asset and we consider it necessary to support them through initiatives like this and many others,” he said.
In her response, one of the lucky subscribers, Rosemary Okeke, a university hopeful from Enugu, expressed utter shock at the prize, stating that she was at first skeptical of the process when she received a call from MTN concerning her winning.
She stressed that the cash prize would help her fund her University education effectively.
While some other lucky subscribers won N500,000 cash, some went home with gift items such as LED television sets, generators and smartphones.
