A 24 year-old man, Toheeb Quardi, was found dead in a controversial circumstance on Sunday, at a residential building in Atoyo area of Sagamu.
The deceased until his death was a generating set repairer who was found dead inside a generating house of one Kelechi (surname withheld).
Metro learnt that Quadri might have gone to repair his customer generating set when the unfortunate happened.
The body of the deceased was discovered by members of his family after search about his whereabouts was unknown.
The owner of the property was almost lynched by angry mob when he feigned ignorance about the incident.
He was reported to have denied knowledge of having to know the deceased at any point in time.
This denial according to what Metro gathered further aggravated the situation, as the suspect’s house was vandalized by the angry people.
The suspect was said to have reported the matter at a nearby police station.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident.
He said that the circumstances surrounding the death of Quadri was unquestionable, saying that the matter had been transferred to the Homicide section at the Command’s headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Oyeyemi said that the body of the deceased had been deposited for autopsy.
