An Indonesian Pharmaceutical Company and makers of Boska and Dexa Medica, on Monday, launched its Pain-Free Day programme in Lagos.
The free medical service, which took place in two markets in Lagos namely Alaba Rago and Ile Epo markets in Alaba and Iyana Ipaja attracted hundreds marketmen and women and residents of the areas.
The medical team comprising general physicians and experts in ophthalmology and otolaryngology educated the people on how to prevent flu-like illnesses during rainy season.
Speaking during the opening ceremony in Alaba Rago market, Boska Brand Executive Manager, Tunde Ojedokun, charged the people to maintain stress-free lifestyle and abstain from body exposure, especially during nighttime, stating that flu-like illnesses such as running nose, sore throat and cold are symptoms triggered by exposure of the body during rainy season.
Speaking on the importance of the initiative, he said, “We’re committed to improving consumers’ health because health is crucial to life and should be taken seriously. The high level of consumer response today shows that this kind of programme is beneficial to them.
The beneficiaries also received free eyes, nose and throat check-up and prescription.
