CHIEF Whip, Lagos State House of Assembly, has urged all Nigerians to cooperate with and pray for President Mohammadu Buhari to succeed in taking the country out of the woods.
The lawmaker representing Shomolu Constituency 2 made the call on Tuesday, while speaking with newsmen, just as he also urged Nigerians to be a little more patient, assuring that the Buhari administration was making efforts to take the country out of the current economic recession.
Abiru, who was reacting to protests organised in Lagos and Abuja against the Buhari administration, however, said “There’s need for our youths to be patient with this present administration,” recalling that 16 years of mismanagement of the economy had caused a serious damage to this nation.
“The sixteen years of mismanagement of the nation by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government have caused serious damages to this nation,” he said.
“Where were our youths when the last administration was distributing hard currency to some people like water?” Abiru queried.
The lawmaker, contended that the future lay in the hands of the country’s youths, who he urged should all shun sentiment as 16years of ruins under past regime cannot be corrected within two years of the All Progressives Congress (APC) – led administration.
“The future of this nation lies in the hands of our youths, we should all shun sentiment, the wasted resources and damage to our economy for sixteen years by the PDP led government can’t be corrected within two years of the All Progressives Congress APC led administration,” he said.-
