The coordinator of the camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) located in Uhogua, Ego Local Government Area of Edo State, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, has appealed to the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, to fulfil promise made to assist the IDPs in the camp.
Speaking with journalists at the camp, Pastor Folorunsho said Hon Dogara promised to pay the examination fees of IDPs, who were students during his visit to the camp.
It would be recalled that Hon Dogara during a visit to the IDPs camp in February, 2016, pledged to pay examination fees of IDPs, who were scheduled to write the West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO) and the Joint Administration, Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB) examinations.
Hon Dogara also pledged to send more relief materials to the IDPs camp.
However, while appreciating Nigerians, who have come to the aid of the camp at the time of their need, Pastor Solomon appealed to Speaker Dogara to fulfil his 2016 promise to the camp in order to improve the situation of things at the camp.
He noted that the IDPs have started farming in order to complement whatever that is donated to the camp and not completely depend on donation from people.
