Driver dies, 2 Oyo LG chairmen injured in car crash

Caretaker Chairman, Ogo Oluwa Local government, Mr Yinka Jesutoye and his Ogbomoso South counterpart, Mr Sunday Adedeji were on Wednesday involved in a car crash, in which the driver of the vehicle died on the spot.

The incident occurred when the two local government chairmen, who were in the same vehicle, were en route Ibadan from Ogbomoso area of the state.

The vehicle in which the chairmen were had a head on collision with an oncoming who was overtaking another vehicle.

The two Chairmen who survived the accident are currently receiving treatment at Bowen Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, while the corpse of the deceased driver has been deposited at a mortuary.

Member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere state constituency, Honourable Peter Oyetunji and his Ogbomoso South counterpart, Honourable Olukayode Akande, who confirmed the incident to Nigerian Tribune said the chairmen were responding to treatment.
