The President, Ibadan Solidarity Group (ISG), Professor Tunde Fawole, has urged members to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic progress of Ibadanland.
Professor Fawole who is also the Rector, The Polytechnic Ibadan, disclosed that the group has a number of eminent members who can make Ibadan develop beyond its present status.
Professor Fawole who was speaking at an executive meeting of the group, noted that “education is the bedrock of positive development and progress of any community” and therefore urged members to endeavour to encourage their children to be well educated.
He promised to work with other executive members to take the group beyond the level he met it.
Other members of the ISG executive are Mr Niyi Odedele (Vice President One), Mr Tunde Fashina (Vice President two), Alhaji Kunle Junaid (General Secretary), Mr Yemi Okunola (Assistant Secretary), Alhaji Demola Adeyemi (Treasurer), Alhaji Ogunsesan (Financial Secretary), Mr Adisa (Welfare Officer) and Alhaji Kola Animasaun (Publicity and Social Secretary).
Ibadan Solidarity Group is a sociocultural organisation made up of Ibadan indigenes.
