A renowned artiste, Sunny Nneji, says an up-and-coming talent reality show will give prominence to African music, comedy, drama and dance.
Nneji told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos State that the show is expected to hold in the first quarter of 2017.
The musician, who made waves with his hit track “Tolotolo” almost a decade ago, assured the public that programme will have African vibe that was worth their while.
“This is completely African, we are trying to redefine talent reality shows in Nigeria, we are trying to give it an African vibe.
“This time, we are giving prominence to African music. Whatever song you want to sing, you can sing any song but it has to be by an African artiste.
“We need to begin to celebrate our own to encourage our own, so, you either do a song by an African artiste or you do a song written by yourself.
“So, we want to make it as our own as possible and let the world know that this is what is obtainable here.
“We are looking at four different talent areas that is comedy, music, drama and dance. We have other judges in different areas like in dance, in drama and in comedy.
“I happen to be one of the judges in the music category,” he added .
Nneji added that Nigeria is blessed with talented youths that can boost the image of the nation.
