The presiding Bishop and chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of Christian Church International, Ibadan/Lagos Express way, Bishop James Olalekan Oyedele, last Sunday, tasked Nigerian youths to direct their energy towards productive ventures and save for later years.
Bishop Oyedele said this during the 16th General Assembly Holy Convocation and golden jubilee of the church, held at the church auditorium, with the theme: “The way, the truth and the life.”
While stating that the remaining part of 2016 would witness total emancipation of God’s people from the clutch of wicked elements, he said that God would pass through Nigeria and deliver His people from poverty, ignorance, oppression, sin, and also heal them.
He added that God would show mercy, favour, long life, good health and promotion to those who followed Him faithfully.
Bishop Oyedele encouraged Nigerians who wanted to experience unprecedented spiritual growth to imbibe the tenets of Christ and urged them to repent from sinful acts.
“There can be no true and solid advance in civilisation, materialism, human relationships, homes and industry, the national and international community without the application of the spiritual assets and principles Jesus lived and died for,” he added.
Also, on the occasion, the Onikun of Temidire Ekiti, Ekiti State, Oba (Evangelist) Moses Fabusuyi, thanked God for sending the Bishop to this world and urged Christians to always respect clerics as well as know God.
“I did not know him before but when I heard what he was preaching, I wept. God performed miracle in my life through this church,” he said.
