The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for November 26th governorship election in Ondo State, Mrs Betty Akeredolu, on Friday, met with young entrepreneurs in Akure, the state capital, to discuss the untapped potential and opportunities in the state.
The entrepreneurs also discussed the challenges faced in their various establishments with Mrs Akeredolu.
During the meeting, she told them that when her husband was elected, many sectors such as agriculture, mining, tourism and ICT would be explored so as to create bustling economy and employment in Ondo state.
The participants were challenged to explore various areas in the state that had potential to increase the revenue and attract foreign investors.
While responding, some of the participants expressed their chagrin at the state of the economy in the state, stressing that unemployment among youths had reached an alarming stage.
The entrepreneurs who lamented the irregular payment of salary in the state, also complained about the fact that government has not created an enabling environment for business owners.
Mrs Akeredolu expressed hope that APC and her husband, when they won the governorship seat, would bring stability to the Ondo economy and create employments for the youths.
